Adrenaline Adventure
Grade II to IV rapids through the Kullu Valley — pine forests, Himalayan peaks, and glacier-fed thrills.
Overview
The Beas River cuts through the Kullu Valley in a series of rapids that range from gentle Grade II floats to heart-pumping Grade IV whitewater. You paddle through pine-forested gorges, past ancient temples, under rope bridges — with the full backdrop of snow-capped Himalayan peaks above you. Our professional rafting partners provide all safety gear, certified guides, and a briefing before you hit the water. Whether you are a first-timer looking for a splash or an experienced paddler chasing bigger rapids, we match you with the right stretch.
How It Works
We pick you up from your accommodation in Manali or Kullu and drive to the put-in point. The drive itself is scenic — along the Beas River, through apple orchards and deodar forests.
Full safety briefing from your certified river guide. Life jackets, helmets, paddles — all provided. Learn paddle commands, rescue positions, and what to do if you fall in. No experience necessary.
The main event. Depending on water levels and your chosen stretch, you will paddle through 8–14km of rapids. Calm stretches for floating and splashing, then sudden drops and churning whitewater. The Beas is cold, clean, and fast.
Pull over at a riverside beach for a break. Warm up, take photos, skip stones. Then a short drive back to your drop-off point. Total time: 4–5 hours including transfers.
Key Highlights
Be Prepared
April to June for high water and bigger rapids. September to October for clearer water and autumn colours. The river is closed during monsoon (Jul–Aug) due to high water levels and safety concerns. Early morning slots offer calmer conditions; afternoon slots bring warmer water.
